Hogwarts Express MUSH - Newsfiles: Theme

Hogwarts Express is dated in the early 1980s just after the first fall of the powerful Lord Voldemort. The world is just now righting itself after years of darkness and where each day in the Wizarding world was never guaranteed. For the first time in years, the mood in the Wizarding world is one of hope.

This is a time of renewal for the world. Rediscovery of simple pleasures, such as a walk through a park or taking the children to a Quidditch match are daily occurances. Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, has given the Wizards something to celebrate for the first time in years. Many of those who had found themselves targets of Voldemort and his followers are returning to society at large, while students are enjoying their first year of peace at Hogwarts.

Many of the characters from the books do not appear on our MUSH because they aren't born yet or are small babies at this time. Book characters such as Dumbledore and Voldemort are considered NPCs on this MUSH and are rarely seen. The times are such that Lily, Lupin, James, Peter and Sirius are around but we prefer to have them in the background in favour of the characters that you create originally. Some Professors are around in Hogwarts at this time, however.

Hogwarts Express is based on the Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling. This MUSH is meant as a tribute to her fascinating world and no one may profit monetarily from the use of this MUSH, either directly or by advertising.
