In modern times, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is acknowledged as one of the best magical schools in the world. It's located somewhere in Scotland, near the mountains and it serves to train all of the magical children in the U.K.

Its sister schools are Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France and Durmstrang Institute in Northern Europe. Led by the legendary Professor Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts is a center for learning and a relatively safe place in what have become very dangerous times.
