OOC information is different from and should be kept separate from IC information. Any information that you as a player has found out does not automatically transfer to your character's knowledge unless he or she has an IC reason to know. For example, if you happen to find out about an object with strange and wonderful powers with Character1 that your alt, Character2 would want to steal it for, you may not act on that information. TPs are ruined in this manner.

OOC conversations and IC Journals on Livejournal are considered strictly OOC information. School rules are where this is trumped: if someone writes about having flagrantly violated school rules in their LJ, they run the risk of an NPC school character having noticed something amiss. If you wish to have certain information ICly, page the appropriate player or staffer to discuss and arrange how your character came to find that information.

You may consider information gained from the Rumours bboard available for public use within reason - school characters might not know adult world rumours and vice versa.
