Students do not warrant rooms of their own because they live in dorms. However, places have been provided to facilitate RP. Prefects and Head Boy and Girl are allowed their own modest quarters at Hogwarts which are attached to house common rooms. Rooms over holiday breaks in inns may be RPed out of the Anywhere Nexus, but it is always with the assumption that any student will be chaperoned by parents.

Adult characters are permitted one room for a private residence, and possibly a room to serve as an office or shop. If you require two rooms you will have to @mail *builders with justification.

Rooms that are needed for specific plots should be requested from the Building Wizard. Please @mail *builder with your request.

All rooms must be approved by the Building Wizard prior to connection to the grid. We typically look for appropriateness, spelling and grammar, and want the name of the room to follow the current formats we use to organize the IC grid. There are also a series of attributes you must set on your room and both exits before it will be linked to the grid. Read the +views set in the Building Nexus to ensure you have taken all necessary steps to be linked. Make sure your @mail includes where you want to place your room; once again, there is a +view in the Building Nexus listing residential areas.

We try to push rooms through the Building Nexus within two OOC weeks of their creation to avoid clutter. If yours sits there longer than that it may be dested without warning. If you need extra time to complete it, simply send an @mail to *builder.
