Canon and keeping to theme is very important to keep in mind when playing. It is recommended that you have read all Harry Potter books published, since are Harry Potter canon compliant. You might just need a memory refresher. For everything you need to know about canon, the Harry Potter world, and in-detail description of all possible character types, check out the HP Lexicon.

Grammar and spelling matter, as are a text-based game. Take your time in writing, doublecheck your spelling or run it through a spellchecker. There are some excellent resources online for less-commonly used adjectives, if you're strapped for ideas, try Thesaurus.com, Spellcheck.net, or Dictionary.com.

Sample character profiles can be found on the website here. You should aim for these lengths in filling out your character profiles. Please do not be verbose, but also try to give us enough to work with.
