The Order of the Phoenix is a small and dedicated group of Witches and Wizards allied behind Albus Dumbledore. They are healers and shopkeepers, Aurors and thieves, healers and Hogwarts Professors, all united against Lord Voldemort. They operate in secrecy, occasionally circumventing the law itself to see Death Eaters taken down. Wizards typically make this commitment for life. Those who choose to leave must make Unbreakable Vows never to speak of it.

At this point the Death Eaters are aware of the Order of the Phoenix and many of its members. Joining it is just as risky as taking on a career such as Auror or Unspeakable if not more so - the Ministry of Magic does not know the Order exists and will make no effort to extend extra protection as it might one of its own employees. In fact, some Order activities are downright illegal.

You must be approached ICly by an Order member in order to gain membership. It's okay to let RP staff know that you're interested but the very nature of the group requires that all of its members can trust one another intimately. The ultimate decision is made in character - there is no application to fill out. If your character is untrustworthy he will not be invited. If your character has absolutely no useful skills, resources, or contacts, chances are the Order members will not risk sharing their secret with him.

We only allow one Order of the Phoenix alt per player. If your Order character dies we make no guarantee that another of your characters will be allowed in. One additional alt may know about it (for example, if you already have a character in the Order but a second character is married to an Order member) but not participate.
