Trainee: Responsible primarily for their own education into the field of magical creatures, all trainees learn about the various types of magical creatures that exist, how the classification code works, and how to deal with various creatures. Those who specialize in the healing of creatures get a more in-depth look at creature healing while all trainees are taught how to handle magical creatures.

Agent: Agents form the majority of the RCMC department. They are the day-to-day individuals who deal with creatures who have gotten loose, complaints about neighbor's illegal imports, and such other issues that arise. Those who have specialized in healing arts are responsible for the medical oversight of injured creatures who have come into the Ministry's care. Agents who have specialized in seeing that creatures are not discovered by muggles are responsible for keeping them hidden, seeing mostly field work. They also maintain records of the habitats and known breeding grounds of any creature with a classification code equal to or greater than XXX. This includes any that have been registered with private individuals as their owners.

Senior Agent: The title of 'Senior Agent' is given to anyone who has proven themselves to have a strong grasp of their overall duties, has performed well in the field, and can be considered an 'expert' on five or more specific magical creatures, with at least three of them having a classification code of XXXX or greater. These are the specialists and often find themselves leading squads in their duties.
