M1: Trainee Rank - All Departments. An M1 covers Trainee IMC, Trainee Mysteries, Trainee MAC, Trainee RCMC, Trainee Human Resources, Trainee Expirimental Charms - whatever. All Trainees are M1.

M2: Sr. Trainee (MLE ONLY) or "Assistant". If you are someone's "Assistant" or an "Assistant" anything in any Department you are an M2.

3: Hitwizard Trainees. CSI Technician. Also, HR Generalists, which is what we call it when you're done being trained in HR and are now just working. Any sort of just out there semi-skilled person, like the guy who fixes broken stuff all over the Ministry, is an M3. So is a "Clerk" in any Department who mostly handles paperwork. Executive, high level clerical positions that are a step above simply being just any old "Assistant" also settle neatly into M3.

M4: Neophyte. Also, full Unspeakables at C3 Clearance. (Remember Unspeakables, Trainees are C2 and C1 Clearance is what you give out to say, Aurors who are getting access to some of your files -- Temp clearance is C1). An RCMC "Agent" - this is the rank and file of most of RCMC - fals under M4.

M5: Soldat. Also, MAC "Experts." Unspeakables at C4 Clearance rank up here at M5.

M6: Adeptus. Also, anyone "Senior" in IMC. Any RCMC "Investigator," such as someone who looks into poachings, fits at this rank. MLE Mindhealer or Medical Examiner falls into this rank.

M7: Legatus. Also, MAC "Senior" rank.

M8: Enforcer.

M9: Imperator.

M10: Executor.

M11: Lord Protector.

M12: Any Department Head. If your title says Department Head, you are at M12.

M13: Minister of Magic.
