Below the level of Auror are the general officers of Law Enforcement. These men and women deal with the lower level crimes such as exploding toilets, underage magic, or illegal portkeys. Many of the employees in this area may have started as Auror trainees but decided that the ranks were not right for them, others may simply have chosen from the beginning to deal with the petty crimes that the Aurors should not have to take the time to solve.

Officers can emit Aurors if the necessity should arise and there are no PC Aurors available at the time. For example, should they find a dead body, they can NPC an Auror to take down the facts and deal with the body, beyond that point, however, they should get in touch with the Aurors via @mail for any further investigation of the event.

NEWT Recommendations:
Required: DAtDA, Charms, Transfiguration and one additional elective.
Muggle Studies is recommended due to the likelihood that officers could end up working with muggle police and the Muggle Relations department.
